Homework One: Device Interfaces

Please complete this homework by Friday 18th September

You are to describe the interfaces for five or six different devices, for each device you need to do the following:

1. Describe main purpose of device
2. Pick some specific inputs and explain how we communicate with the device
3. Describe how device communicates what its doing
4. Give your opinion of interface, explaining why you think what you think (e.g. don't say fiddly explain what is fiddly and why is it compromised)

If you do not have Office 2007 you can get Open Office 3.1 for free from http://www.openoffice.org/ this is an excellent suite of programs with very high compatibility with Microsoft Office.
